How to develop the habit of frequent blogging – my lessons learned from the last 5 years

In the last 5 years I have learned a lot about posting content frequently. These are my most important blogging lessons. To be successful as a blogger you have to understand that everything starts with writing. If you do not publish, no one can read you, you will not have visits, no one will register as a subscriber and you will not be able to achieve your goals. We agree, right? frequent Finland Phone Number List photo rights Those who follow this blog know that I have been publishing daily for more than 3 years. Instead of debating the quantity or quality of content, I see above all the personal benefit that comes with having developed this habit. It is a clearly selfish prospect. I hope now that I have almost 1,500 posts published sharing my knowledge and reflections that it is not too disproportionate …;) Do not get me wrong. My goal is to always add value with my daily posts. At the individual level this can vary greatly. With basic content I can teach a beginner a lot and a more advanced blogger relatively little. My philosophy has always been that the more I write, the more feedback or criticism I receive, the more visibility I get and therefore the ROK ( Return on Karma ) is increasingly important.

How do you develop a habit of posting regularly? During these last years there has always been a recurring question. “How the f *** do you manage to publish a post every day?” The answer is always the same. I’m not considering posting as an option in case I find a hole. The post will come out “yes or yes” regardless of the other obligations you have that day. It is part of my daily routine like showering and cleaning my teeth. You don’t have to write it down on your to-do list because it is part of your day-to-day life. You don’t question if you are going to do it but you just do it . I do not recommend anyone to publish a daily post. When I started you could succeed with a lot of content. Today the blogosphere has become more competitive and it takes more than that. The important thing is that you post frequently. E.g. once a week or once at least. Keep in mind that the less public it is, the more accurate the content has to be . The reader has the expectation that if you have been so long without getting a new post, it is that you have been working on the creation of a new extraordinary article to surprise your readers.

Lesson learned : set a publishing goal (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) and don’t take it as optional. Plan to get that post. Lack of time cannot be an excuse. If necessary, it is removed from under the stones. “You get there faster if you go alone but further if you go accompanied” Giving up is easy. While you keep challenges to yourself, the only person you have to justify your failure is yourself. It is a “trick” that many apply to get out of a commitment that they still cannot fulfill. Nobody said it was going to be easy but it is not a question of leaving the escape door open so that when things get complicated. Making it difficult for you to get out of the blogging challenge may be finding yourself a tandem blog . They consist of finding another blogger who is in a similar situation at the starting point level. The ideal is to have similar goals and ambitions. In this way, feedback sessions can be arranged that automatically also serve to draw energy and motivation that allow you to push forward.Finland Phone Number List

Lesson learned : stay out of the way if you already plan (even if unconsciously) a possible way out. Launch yourself on this adventure with a person who has goals similar to yours. In this way you can share the successes and small failures. You will find a person who will understand that “geek” side in case your loved ones are not so familiar with this online world. Set a goal that is achievable within 6-12 months When I train for a marathon I go running 4-6 times each week. When I don’t have a specific goal in sight, it’s more like 2 to 4 sessions. People need specific objectives to travel a path that is not always so simple and pleasant.
The first step is always driven by illusion but we must not forget that even behind the things we like, it takes effort to achieve something worthwhile. A year ago I had a lady of about 70 years in my “Course for Bloggers” who did it for pure pleasure and to document the stories of her and her friends. This case is a bit out of the ordinary but even here you don’t always feel like writing but you do it because you have a “commitment” and you have created expectations towards third parties.

Advances at the beginning are not going to be important so you should apply a little “trick” of motivation . It consists of measuring the increases in traffic Taiwan Database , followers, comments in an absolute and relative way. Especially the change at the percentage level may be more important at the beginning and clearly shows that there are advances that can be demonstrated with figures. The monitoring should be monthly because it allows you to react immediately in case you are not reaching the milestones that you have set for yourself. Plans never go off so you must be prepared to take adjustment measures that lead you to where you want to go.
